L’India degli ultimi. Un’analisi della marginalità indiana nella prospettiva pedagogica problematicista

Abstract

The particular socio-cultural conformation of Indian society, composed of more than one billion two hundred million people belonging to different ethnic groups and religious beliefs and with a hierarchical social structure since the caste system is, in today's context, characterized by old traditions and important transformations. Officially abolished by the Indian constitution, castes are binding for centuries the lives of millions of people, where the condition of 'untouchable' still entails large inequalities in the educational, social and occupational fields. Changes and inheritance that draw the pedagogical attention regard to the different issues that concerns indian childhoods and families, especially those who are marginalized.
