This paper presents a brief reflection about the socio-cultural changes that have an impact on today's scholastic and educational world and discusses the preliminary results of a multi-methodological research carried out in a high school in Milan. The main purpose is to investigate the differences between the didactic model of the Episodes of Situated Learning (EAS in italian) and a traditional one: in particular we focus on didactic and proxemic actions performed by the teacher in the classroom and the impact that these dimensions have on students' attention.
