The pedagogical sense of empowerment orientated counselling.

Abstract

The practice of counselling is increasingly common in the so called “caring professions”. Within the various schools and approaches to counselling currently in use in Italy we can add the practice of the empowerment orientated counselling interview, which sets out to be a particular interpretation of counselling , slightly detached from traditional schools. This article sets out the salient features of the approach and highlights the links between empowerment and pedagogical problematisation .
