Abstract

Following the phenomenological approach as a key for interpretation and proposal, the first element to be considered in order to develop a pedagogical scientific theory is the concept of lived experience (Erlebnis); as a matter of fact, such a concept represents a fundamental tool in order to understand human phenomena therefore avoiding to reduce them to mere explanations deriving from pre-established cause-and-effect extrinsic connections. For the reasons give here above, this research aimed to understand the lived experiences of the families which use the service; support the responsibilities of parents and their parental abilities; consider the role of the educator in a centre for children and parents; act upon the educational services involved in the research project so to favour innovation and the educational value.
